What is the Emotions Museum?
A unique interactive museum about emotions! It uses interactive exhibitions, play and fairytales, in order to encourage children and teenagers to discover their emotional world, to learn more about themselves and others. Moreover, it sensitizes adults, parents and teachers on subjects which deal with the children’s emotional development and socialization.

Which is the museum’s philosophy?
As children grow up they usually get confused with their emotions, they feel the need to understand themselves and the world that surrounds them and find their own meaning in life. Harmonic emotional development helps them to become creative, sociable, tolerant and happy adults.
Museum Activities
Interactive exhibitions: The museum designs and presents interactive exhibitions which promote self-knowledge and comprehending of emotions through play.
Educational Programs: The museum’s educated animators, psychologists and educators present the museum’s educational programs to school groups of children, by giving “life” to the exhibits.
Weekends at the museum: The interactive exhibition of the museum is open for both adults and children to discover it together. Afterwards, they can participate, by way of play, to the workshops which are designed to encourage self-knowledge and communication between adults and children.
Annual workshops: The museum organizes annual workshops for children aiming to motivate self-knowledge and creative expression within their group, by using story-making, role games, painting, music and exploration!
Seminars for adults: Through the seminars, the museum aims to sensitize adults, through the arts and the animation technique, to issues concerning the affective development.
Exhibitions that… travel! During the summer, the museum can travel with two interactive exhibits everywhere in Greece and during the winter it travels at the most distant areas of Attiki.
Christmas’ and Easter’s workshops are organized for the visitors of the museum during Christmas and Easter Holidays. The workshops intend to promote a pleasing and creative communication among adults and children.
5-day summer programs: During summer holidays, the museum creates 5-day summer programs which include creative activities for children 7-12 years old.
Birthday parties are organized for children 5-7 years old and 7-12 years old. The museum has designed a festival program within its exhibition regarding birthday celebrations and fests as an occasion for creative activities among friends and schoolmates.

OPENING HOURS
For school groups or other groups, special program created in English for foreign families (reservation required):
Monday to Friday: 9am – 1pm
For visitors:
Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 2pm. In specific:
10am – 1pm: visitors can play at the museum’s exhibition
1pm – 2pm: realization of workshops for both adults and children (only in Greek language)!
