The Dodecanese house belongs to O.P.A.N.D.A. of the Municipality of Athens. Founded by Professor, literature, folklore Moskovis Bill, who was born in Simi. The woodcarvings are models of Angela Hatzimichali and Athena Tarsouli. Nowadays it operates as Folk-Artistic Museum, having as main target to become a place of knowledge and culture study center for the Dodecanese.

 

CONTENT:

The collection of exhibits presented, as to their content:

  • Books
  • Works of Modern Greek Art (Tiniakos-Siceliotis-Tsarouchis),
  • 1.Objects of Folk Art 2. Traditional objects (beddings etc.),
  • Woodcarving which are replicas interior,
  • Traditional authentic uniforms,
  • Historical manuscripts,
  • Collection of Christian icons of past centuries,
  • Indian ink Stained glass,
  • Collection of clown figures by Siceliotis.

 ACTIVITIES:

A) its annual "Bill Moskovis" Prize-Giving for the best scientific study on the Folk-History of the Dodecanese.
B) Implementation
οf educational programs aimed at all levels of education.
